A.    BACKGROUND

The using of software in teaching can make teachers easier in implement their lesson in the class; such as the teachers don’t have to write down on whiteboard and also it is able make time efficiently in the classroom. Beside that the students also more can be easier to understand the subject.

The teacher should understand the using of software and the level of their students. Both of them must be notice before implementing the software. Like the software which will be introduced in this paper designed for Elementary Students or the beginner. It is software will introduce the students about pictures, such as activity, animals, business, education, food, health and sport. Moreover, one word, fife word, synonym, emotive word and phrase style. The software we called “Star Exam”. One of reason called Start Exam, because this software will examine the students’ capability English  

B.     PROBLEM STATEMENTS

1.      Why is Star Exam?

Many kind of software are used in teaching English, such as Oxford Dictionary, CALD (Cambridge Advance Learner Dictionary) and so on, but here the writer suggests to use Star Exam especially to teachers who teach in Elementary School, because the software that I talk before in background that it software serves many kinds of vocabulary. As we know that the vocabulary is basic to increase or develop the students’ ability in English. For more reasons why Star Exam is used can be written as follows:

a.       It is simple to operate

b.      It is interesting and enjoyable

c.       The students like it

d.      Make the learning process comfortable

e.       The teachers can know the development of their students’ ability.

f.       The students compete in class.

2.      Can Star Exam implement in Junior High School and Senior High School?

Actually, this software comes from abroad. It is taught in in the Elementary School to help the students and teacher in the learning process. As we know the intelligence of the students there compare with the Indonesian Elementary Students so different, such as the way of thinking, the creativity and so on. So my answers this software can we use in teaching whether in Junior High School and Senior High School. Furthermore even in University can be used to teach and test the students.
