ASSIGNMENT OF CALL

1.  Have you analyzed / conducted the same activity before? If yes, in what subject?, if not, why? No, I haven’t because the previous subjects only did classically. Classically means the subjects didn’t do by online and also the lecturers never had me to analyze the level of my vocabulary. It is my first time to do this and of course I’m so glade having new experience in learning this website.   

2.      What is your opinion about the analyzing vocabulary levels through www.lextutor.ca? My opinion about the analyzing vocabulary levels through www.lextutor.ca it’s not too bad because we can measure and know how well our vocabulary levels, such as  low (the vocabulary that we use in writing is general or basic vocabulary) , medium (the vocabulary that we use  lack of academic writing)  or high (a lot of academic  vocabularies are used in writing).      

3.      What do you think about your vocabulary levels after analyzing them through www.lextutor.ca? My vocabulary after analyzing through www.lextutor.com, I conclude that my vocabulary levels still low, because count of vocabularies that I used in my writing generally basic words and almost all the foreign language learners know them. 

4.      In what course do you need to improve your writing and academic vocabulary?  The best way to improve my writing and academic vocabulary are writing and vocabulary courses. Here I can be more active in practicing them, but unfortunately, right now that subject there is no anymore. So another way to improve my writing and vocabulary is authentic material (everything media which can improve my English).    

5.      Are you familiar with the vocabulary levels given in www.lextutor.ca? Only few of vocabulary familiar are given by www.lextutor.com while the others are still new for me.

6.      Have you learnt about those vocabulary levels? Yes, I have but it is seldom. 

7.      Is academic vocabulary important for you as a university student? if yes, what for?, if not, why? Yes, because in my point of view the measurement of good academic students are the students who rich with academic words. What for? For improving our understanding about academic words, if we are poor with that we will confuse and hard to understand the scientific writing.      

8.      Do you think that this analyzing activity is useful to support your learning, especially in writing? Yes. I do

9.      In what course/learning material do you think should be suggested to improve your writing ability and high vocabulary level quality? My suggestion to improve both writing and vocabulary. For writing just practicing and explore your idea!!! For vocabulary never give up enriching your vocabulary!

10.  Do you think that ICT/CALL/internet utilization is useful? Why? And in what manner? Yes, I do, because here we can learn more about technology and the usage of it. In what manner? You have to connect to the internet and insert URL or website that you want to visit such as http://www.world-english.org/english_test.htm. to practice your English skill.   

11.  What is your impressions and suggestions of CALL subjects and activities?

My impression, suggestions and activities of CALL subject
-The next lesson of CALL should be more practice than theory
-Lecturer and students can be directly learn by online  
- Learning by doing 
- The lecturer should firm in conducting his/her subject
- The lecturer should be stimulator and stimulate all the students involve in learning process. 
12. What do you think about all your previous subjects and learning materials? Are they effective    enough to support your vocabulary development? Explain your ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer briefly’.
Yes. I do. the previous subject can improve my Vocabulary especially about CALL such as, synchronous and asynchronous and so on.
